Editorial standards

The rules we follow in everything we publish.

  1. Facts first. We separate what is known from what is claimed.
  2. News and opinion are kept apart. Analysis and opinion are clearly marked and published in Ideas.
  3. We do not copy other outlets. We summarize in our own words and link the original.
  4. We do not publish rumours as facts.
  5. We are independent. No government, party or company decides what we write.
  6. We fix our mistakes openly (see Corrections).
